Katya discovered Middle Eastern dance with Zi'ah in 2005. She joined Awalim in 2006 and has since had the opportunity to perform in many venues along the East Coast, as well as to study with biggest names in bellydance, such as Carolena Nericcio, Heather Stantz, Elizabeth Strong, Mira Betz, Amy Sigil and Jill Parker. When not dancing, Katya studies aerial circus arts with Carrie Heller at the Circus Arts Institute of Atlanta. She is also an ACSM certified Personal Fitness Trainer and trains clients in the Atlanta area.
